About Me
I research laptop accessories so remote workers don’t have to.
Briefly…
I am not a product tester. I don’t own every product on this site. That would be impossible and expensive.
Instead, I am a researcher and curator. I spend 20+ hours analyzing each product category — reading expert reviews, aggregating user feedback, comparing specs, and identifying what actually breaks. Then I give remote workers clear, honest recommendations.
Think of me as your personal shopping assistant — not a product tester.
My Story
I started working remotely a few years ago. My “office” was a kitchen table. My laptop sat flat. My neck bent at a 45-degree angle for 8 hours a day.
Within months, I had constant headaches, burning between my shoulder blades, and wrist pain that kept me up at night.
I went to a doctor. “Workplace ergonomics,” he said. “Fix your setup or this gets worse.”
So I started buying accessories. I spent hundreds of dollars on stands, hubs, cooling pads, and vertical mice. I learned what works and what is a scam.
The good news: You don’t need $1,000 to fix your setup. My current desk cost under $200 in accessories.
The bad news: Most “review sites” I found, were not pointing me in the right direction.
That is why I built this site. To give remote workers honest, research-backed advice.
What I Do (The Researcher Method)
For every product category, I spend 20+ hours on this process:
Step 1: Identify top 10-20 products (Amazon best-sellers, Wirecutter, Reddit) — 2 hours
Step 2: Read 15-30 expert reviews (TechRadar, PCMag, Rtings) — 5 hours
Step 3: Analyze 500-2,000 Amazon user reviews (verified purchases only) — 5 hours
Step 4: Mine 20-50 Reddit threads for real-user consensus — 3 hours
Step 5: Verify specifications against manufacturer data — 2 hours
Step 6: Identify failure patterns from 1-star reviews — 2 hours
Step 7: Synthesize and write the recommendation — 3 hours
What I Look For (Remote Worker Focus)
- Comfort for 8+ hour days — Not gaming sessions. Not occasional use.
- Noise levels — Quiet for video calls and focus work.
- Durability for daily use — Not occasional travel.
- Value for money — Remote workers often buy their own gear.
What I Do NOT Do
- I do not test every product. That would be impossible. I aggregate existing research.
- I do not accept payment for reviews. Brands cannot buy positive coverage.
- I do not copy specs from Amazon. I verify against manufacturer data.
- I do not recommend products with widespread failures. Even if they pay high commissions.
My Remote Work Setup (Real)
This is what I actually use for my 40-hour work week. No sponsors. No free products. Just what works.
- Laptop: HP Elitebook 840
- Stand:
- USB-C Hub:
- Mouse:
- Keyboard:
- Monitor: Currently, I don’t use any monitor
For products I don’t personally own, I rely on the research method above. I am always transparent about which products I have used.
How I Make Money (Transparent)
I am an affiliate. When you click a link to Amazon or another retailer and make a purchase, I earn a small commission (usually 1-6%).
What this does NOT mean:
- I do not recommend products just because they pay higher commissions
- I do not write positive reviews for money
- I do not hide my affiliate relationships
What this DOES mean:
- You can support this site at no extra cost to you
- I can afford to spend 20+ hours researching each category
- I can keep this content free for remote workers
Why You Should Trust Me
- I spend 20+ hours researching each product category
- I read both 5-star and 1-star reviews
- I have a “Products I Don’t Recommend” page (no affiliate links there)
- I update every post every 3 months
- I link to all my sources so you can verify yourself

One Last Thing
I started this site because I was in pain. My neck hurt. My wrists hurt. My laptop overheated.
I fixed my setup with under $200 in accessories.
You can too.
I am here to help.
